Ballistic tip ammo in AR...will it cycle

How well does Hornady V-MAX .233 cycle through an AR. I've only shot SP and FMJ through my RR Coyote Carbine but I'm thinking of ordering some V-Max for calling. I'll pass if it hangs up on the feed ramps. Thanks.
 
I have shot a few hundred rds through one of mine and havnt had any type of problem... It likes the vmax the best out of any factory rds i have shot out of it...
 
Thanks. As long as it doesn't hang up on the tip I'll prolly get some. Is $17.99 (Bass Pro) a good deal for 55grain V-MAX?
 
I use 40gr V-max in my Bushmaster O.R.C when we are in target rich environments like when we go skunk'en. With the volume of shooting we have going on, I like a highly frangible bullet going down range and don't want a lot of lead skippin off into the unknown. Plus it blows'em right purrdy!

cada i shoot v max out of my dpms and haven't had a hang up yet. I pay the same price as wsmbuck so thats a good deal!
 
I only had a problem with one ar. The M4 ramps were machined too small and the nose of the bullet would jam in the ramps. A little work with a rat tail file and all was well.

Same here. My favorite bullets are Vmax or Ballistic tips in my AR or bolt guns either for that matter.
