Baraska Scopes

Recently got a Baraska Spotting scope and it is very nice for the price. I was wondering if their mid level scopes are as good as the spotting scopes? Thinking of putting 3X9 on one of my fox rifles.

I have had two different models, both were junk, one 3x9 changed impact 11in at 100 from 3 to 9 power change on the ring, the other showed a pile of brown leaves to be gray in color, enough for me.

I have a Barska Sniper scope on my Ar15 223 and granted it is not the quality of high glass but it has worked just great for me. Not a problem in 2 years of hard use and banging around.

Well, I know they are not great but the spotting scope that I have really exceeded my expectations. Comparing it to other similarly priced spotting scopes it was much, much, better. I guess I will stay away from the scopes and look for something different.

Thanks for all of the advice.

I won't buy another. My windage turret was broken out of the box. Wouldn't return to zero. I returned it and i'll be putting the money towards something else. If you're not looking to spend a ton on a scope check out mueller and weaver's varmint optics. Vortex has some pretty reasonable prices as well.

Maybee you got a good one. Guy here at work had a Baraska spotter. Worked well on 20X but when you turned it up (don't remember power rang maybe 60?) the exit pupil was so small it was unusable. I'd much rather have a Tasco (which is junk but still better).

I bought a mossber 100atr 308 night train. It came with a barska 6-24x60 scope on it. was a nice scope but not worth the $300 they want for one of them.

Uhm, excuse me guys...I was on one of the tactical websites and there was a guy on there that goes by "Doorbreachingpelvicthrust" and he is an ex- Navy SeAL, ex P.J.,ex-DELTA,ex S.W.A.T, and worked part time security at the food court at the mall on there. Maybe you've heard of him? He's very famous on the interwebs. Anyway, he said that Barska scopes are the "BOMB YO!" I'm thinking really seriously of picking one up and subjecting it to a REAL torture test and then posting up a tight review for ya'll. I'm thinking of mounting it to my .22 MAGNUM(Nudge Nudge, Wink Wink) to test for POI/POA shift after 1000 rounds fired. I mean, If it will handle the recoil of a magnum rifle...It should be good right?

Stand by for future results.
