I have never had an ER barrel in an AR platform, but I do own several on bolt guns and several for the universal receiver. I have never had problems with them. They are pretty rough when they are new. I have almost always found them to need a good lapping. They do tend to "run-out" a bit with the longer barrels. Would I trust one in competition...No. Do I hunt with them...Sure.John
