I was just looking at the Model 1 sale uppers in .204 and they have one for $435 with a 24" Shaw barrel.
I ordered the Mod.1 204 upper yesterday. After finally shooting an upper I put together with a 24" DPMS 204 barrel.
The DPMS barrel did very well with the 30gr. Bergers and RL-10, not to bad with 32 VMax either. I think it earned a starting spot in this years Chuck busting rifle line up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif Although it's pretty heavy I'll just have to grit my teeth and tote it around /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
I looked and searched for another DPMS barrel and they seem to be back ordered everwhere so I went ahead and ordered the Mod.1 204 upper. I did some Google searches and could'nt find any reviews on the Mod.1 204 upper. I'll be very pleased if it can hang with the DPMS barreled rig.
I prep'd 200 pieces of WW brass late last night and have 300 more, 30gr. Bergers coming this week along with some Benchmark powder to try. I did order 100 of the Barnes 20 cal. 26 gr. VG's just to try.
