barrel question

I'm going to rebarrel my Rem 700 22-250 to a 250 AI. I'm thinking of a McGowen barrel in a 1-9 twist. It only comes in a 4 groove. I'm looking at shooting 75 gr Amaxs. I'm looking at 600 yard plus rifle. My questions are from what I've seen McGowen barrels seem pretty good what are others impressions? Will the 4 groove barrel be good for what I am wanting?

I have a couple Mcgowen barrels on two of my savage actions one is a 7mm WSM and the other is a 8 twist .243 and both barrels will shoot ragged hole groups at 100 yrds. I'm not sure what your concern about the 4 groove is but as far as Mcgowen barrels go between my buddy and me I can think of 5 mcgowens we own and everyone of them are extremely accurate. I have zero complaints with them!!!
