I know I am hijacking this thread, but I did not want to start a new one. My wonderful wife let me go to Cabela's and look at scopes today....and she knows I can't just look. I ended up with the Nikon P-223 BDC 600 and am very happy with it so far. I had the mount and bore sight it while I went upstairs for an elk burger. Due to time constraints and the weather, I went to an indoor shooting range for the first time in my life, interesting experience but that is another story.
It took a few shots to get on the paper, then walked the groups up to center at way to close of range to tell any of you. Then I moved it back to 24.5 yards, as far back as I could get. I am very happy with where I ended. I was using PMC bronze FMJ 55 grain bullets shooting 5 round groups from a 5 round mag. Still looking for someone to teach me about reloading. All pictures are from my 2nd target.
Not sure what happened with that one shot from group 4...

This really is 5 shots under a dime.
I quit while I was ahead and am very glad I found this thread and ditched that Barska scope, because that is where this thread started.
