I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Barska scopes and how well they perform. I am looking at buying a 3-9-42 with trajectrory/range turret for my sks from cabelas but dont want to spend the money if im going to get some piece of junk.

I haven't any experience with the Barska, but have had great results with Cabela's Pine Ridge brand of scopes and they are priced between $70 and a 100 bucks. You might take a look at them.

I had a 3.5-40x Barska SWAT, supposedly one of their better scopes. It was krap. Sent it back for replacement, and the new one was also krap. Live and learn.

I had a pair of the "nice" bino's they offer. Anything past 10x power is foggy grossly around the edges and none of the adjustments work as well as they should. A buddy of mine had a 3x9x40 on his 243 and it was crap. Get a bushenell banner or something similiar for a tad more.

junk!!!

That it in a nut shell. And Bob not too far off on those Cabela scopes. I bought one for my 17 HMR but sold it after a few weeks. Not a bad scope, but not as good a glass as I first thought it was. If you are after an OK scope and not demanding cystal clear optics, you may wish to give them a look.
