Bartering's still better than money.

I just finished up with a little carpentry project for a friend this afternoon but I hate getting money involved where friends are concerned so after a couple beers, a little bickering, and allot of BS he's got a couple new doors and a nice cedar lined master closet and I'm the proud owner of a clean old BDL in 22/250.
I have no need for it or idea what to do with it, but I'm sure I'll come up with something.
He even threw in an old ADL stock he had laying around.
Crappy pic, but it was dark outside by the time I got home.

Just funnin ya repete, wish I had all your 17's. With all the talk of the new rimfire and hornet I think I better start saving for them along with a rem that I've wanted for so long

The interest in small cal's has definatly spiked lately, hasn't it?

Never did jump on the HMR band wagon, but for some reason, the new Winnie Seventeen Super Duper Magnesium has my interest.
Not that my AH won't do everything it will and then some, but I'm watching.

I've had the HMR for a while now and love it for squirrel and rabbit but headshots only as it tears them up pretty good. Ya I know rimfire and tearing stuff up doesnt go in line together but lost a bunch of front legs from rabbits to them. Fox pop is looking to be picking up a bit around here so the WSM and hornet are looking like a possibility for me in the near future

First time I went out ground squirrel shooting with HMR's with a friend I had an Anschutz 1517 MPR with an Elite 4200 8-32x, out to 150 it seemed like you could see a flea running around on their noses. I made a few head shots and my friend asked why I was doing that, he said go lower on the stomach, it's more fun. My definition was more like spectacular carnage.

We were shooting squirrels for a lady in her horse pastures and she wanted us to pick them up when we shot em. I refused to pick up my friend's and put them in a bucket. I continued making cleaner head shots and picked up my own to put in a 5 gallon bucket.

Kidding,,, he's happy and I'm happy.

Think I might sell it though. I need another rifle like a hole in the head, but I do need a new chain saw.
