Bear creek 243 uppers?

Got an email saying they were in stock and on sale for $335. I clicked on the sight and it said they were out. I tried a couple of phone numbers listed on their sight to inquire about them and it went straight to voicemail. I started reading reviews and it sounds like a company to avoid. Anyone tried one of them?

My opinion formed from experience. Barrels are IFFY!! (Being Christian here BTW) Uppers are fine. I would by a stripped upper but they'll never get another dime out of me for one of their tubes.

I have no experience with their 243 but I have built a few using their heavy 223 barrels, they all shoot fine. Heres something to read.

My 243 upper cost me over $800. If you buy a diamond ring for a dime, it maybe only be worth a dime.
I could of paid to much but mine shoot very well. I have had it for over 10 years.

I have only ever bought their barrels. All have shot just as good as my BHW, BA or Wilson Combat barrels I have/had. Perhaps I got lucky but I wouldn’t hesitate to get more, especially when I paid less than $65/ea for them.

I had one of their barrel in 223 HBAR and it shot any quality ammo @ 1inch. I had zero complaints for it. I've spent more and got less on dumber stuff. I had bought the upper ($280) as a blasting upper for just dumping mags thru. I killed several cats, coons and a few foxes with it.

I forgot midway carried that one. It looks like a quality upper compaired to bear creek. There is one bogus feedback on it saying someone shot 25 gr of varget with 55 gr bullets. Obviously a review of a 5.56 upper.

I ordered the midway upper. It's a 1/9 twist. My VLS is a 1 in 9 1/8 twist and I can shoot 70 gr NBT in one little hole. I'm sure at this twist it will do the same for the lighter 55 gr NBT so I have a coyote lazer. For $449 I figured I couldn't go wrong. It has some good reviews. I always wanted a 24" barrel upper with same or slower for lighter 55 gr to 70 gr pills but this is close enough. The only 24" uppers I've run into in years past is the Alex pro with too fast of a twist...and three times the price or the awesome detech uppers for 4 times the price. I know detech will shoot better but I can afford $1200/1500 for an upper.
