Here is what I want to accomplish. I am in need of some help from you guys to pull off a practicle joke. I want to come up with some fake bear feet so that I can make bear tracks for some buddies to find. I want to make them decent size around a 4 inch pad or so. So any ideas on how I could make up some bear feet to put on my shoes to walk around with? Or make another idea? Thanks guys.

Just create a depression in the ground the size and shape you want and fill it with concrete. Then glue the casting to an old boot with panel adhesive. Works great even for the really big ones! LOL ....not that I've EVER done anything like that! HaHa /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Have fun and be safe... never dress up as "Bigfoot"!!! You'd probably get shot.

.......By someone like me. This deer season a friend of mine says, he's gonna have a 7 foot friend of his dress up and try to scare me, I told him that will not be a good idea cause your friend will die. He asked why and I told him cause I'll kill him. I said your 7 foot friend in a fur suit and me with my 308 is a very bad combination, cause I wouldn't hesitate and your friend will most definately die.

This thread reminds me of what my buddies and I did as teenagers. The Grandfather of my best friend died and left boxes of old clothes. In the boxes was a long raccoon fur coat. There was another fur coat, fox furs and a bunch of other stuff. My friend made a "Big Foot" suit out of the furs. We'd drive up to the local mountains at night, hide the car and wait in the trees just off a curve in the road for an unsuspecting driver. Just as the driver's head lights started to illuminate the road, one of us would run across the road in the suit. We would be far enough from the car that the people weren't sure what they saw, but they knew they saw something that wasn't right. Most people would scream then floor the accelerator and take off. Occasionally they would stop and walk over to the side of the road to see if they could see what it was they thought they saw. It was best if passengers were in the car because they'd usually be the ones screaming at the driver to take off. If a driver stopped and got out, we'd all growl and tear-up brush. They usually were back in the car and burning rubber within seconds.

Weasel, I don't know your age, but back when I was a teenager and prone to do something like that, we pretty well knew that most people with guns in their cars and trucks were legitimate hunters/farmers and would only shoot at what they could see...

It today's society, with concealed carry, 'City' hunters that are prone to sound shots, and the nuts running the various meth and pot farms, I would have to be pretty drunk to try it now... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You can use Plaster of Paris, it is much much lighter than concrete but will do the same thing. We use it with my kids when we find a new set of tracks. Just make the shape you want and fill it in with the plaster, put a dowel in the cast and when it hardens you can just use it to press into the ground. My wife always wonders how we get Bobcats in the backyard.
