Cooking PAM works, Johnson's discontinued their paste wax don't throw away your old can.  It works well on the outside of shotguns used in the salt marshes.  When I was in Taiwan we could get paste wax with insecticide in it.  The housekeeper  would do the floors and the next morning have to sweep up the dead bugs.  It would have some of great here in the SW.
