Any one have and use one? If so how do you like it? I want a stock for a Howa 1500 i have, and really wanted the Medalist, but i do not want the Weatherby style stock.

How does the carbelite feel? Is it like the factory tupperware stocks that come on rifles sometimes (hollow ans slick) ?

Thanks

I have one on a Savage I think its a nice stock for the money I had to do quite a bit of inletting then bedded it in Devcon steel putty it also comes with pillars its a much better stock than the Duramax I also have one of their Medalist stocks on another Savage I like that one also but again had to do a bit of inletting.

Bigsky,

I did a 700 in the Medalist stock and the smith who did the action work told me that the Carbelites sometimes require more final inletting work. I have a Rem XCR compact and a 700 with identical 20" barrel length and what you'll immediately notice is that B & C is considerably lighter. I added the Maxguard finish and it has a fairly grippy texture and is supposed to add a dampening effect. You can find better stocks but I think most would gree that the B & C is the best of the less expensive stocks. Good luck with it.

They are not injection molded tupperware. They are fiberglass, and much better.

I've owned several. All had decent inletting and all worked just fine after I bedded them. Full length bedding blocks are nice, but if you pillar bed and free float a carbelite, you'll never know the difference between it and a full length aluminum bedding block on a hunting rifle......

Cool, thanks guys. the other options were Hogue and a boyds laminated stock. I like hogues, not much for laminates, but i like the Medalists, and B&C has more color options 9i know dumb reason) but thats why i was thiking about the carbelites
