I've been looking at the Beretta Xtrema 2's lately and was wondering if any of you gentlemen were shooting one? And if so, have any of you mounted a scope on one? What type of base?

I have one, although not with a scope. It is a great gun. I have run everything from 1 oz reloads for trap up to 3.5 inch 00 buckshot and it has never FTF.

There are a few great guns in this price point that all have strong points. Get the one that shoulders the best and has the best feel in your opinion.

I have an al 390 and 391 urika.. I'v been eyeballing the Extrema 2 for a while now but just don't know if I need the 3.5" chamber, esp with some of the high end ammo out there right now for waterfowl, etc.. I guess its easier to breakdown and clean though than my berettas. SWEET gun for sure!! theres an awesome vid on youtube of the extrema2. heres the link..

I have one with a kick off and never had a failure to feed with any load also. Never have shot slugs out of it though.

Great gun but price makes ya want to cry.

bucksnort06, I have an Extrema not the Extreme2 just eh orginial. Was one of the first to get one here. I shoot alot even the end of the barrell got brown. We shoot steel in 3" not 3.5" too expensive. You can shoot 2 3/4", 3" or 3.5". If I was going to shoot 3.5" shells I'd rather buy a 10 gauge as there is less recoil. There is a beating in 3.5 that is not in the 3". Enough said about that. I use it mostly for waterfowl and I do like it for my turkey. As in most semi-auto's they need maintance in the rain/mud. Also Bretta is heavy. I put a sling on it also. I guess if I thought about another semi I'd think about the Bennili, as they are lighter. I'm older and won't get another gun unless something goes really screwy.
