what is the best 3-9-40 for the money? I am leaning towards burris or bushnell elite. It is going on a stevens 200 and may end up camo'd with the rest of the gun.

I just got a Nikon Buckmaster in Realtree from the Optic Zone last week. I paid $170 for it and it sure seems like a lot of scope for the money. I could easily read quarter-inch text at 50 yards and see .22 bullet strikes. Making turret adjusments, there was no creep or backlash. I'm very satisfied with what I got for the price.

I think the best deal at the moment is the nikon monarch primos scope that swfa as on their site.Check it out its a dandy. Lee

I made a discovery about a year ago and have made a few friends believers in them. The Pentax gameseeker scopes are extremely affordable for what they offer you in return. They are essentially a Burris Fullfield scope with the ballistic plex reticle they offer. A lifetime warranty, gas filled tube, fog proof and very duarble and very clear multi coated optics. It has been used and a little abused over the past year and for the $110-120 range it can't be beaten IMO.

Call this guy and he will take care of you. I can not remember his name but I think it is him and his wife that run the place. Fox Optics 877-806-2977 fox@foxoptic.com.

They shipped the scope the same day I ordered it and I got it sooner than they said I would.

check out nikon prostaff 3x9 just put on my 223 and very pleased with the optics paid 149.00 at cabelas If you have near you. check out there website and check all of the reviews on the prostaff.

I'd vote for the Elite 4200!

+1 Big Time

I have had lots of scopes in the 3-9X power over the years starting with a Weaver back in the early 70's. I dont think there a better scope out there dollar for dollar than the 4200 series Bushnells. Very nice glass!

Is it just me, or this like a daily post? It seems you could do a search and read for days.......

It is but then again that's what keeps the forums rolling and each time we get a new post of the same nature a few more guys jump in with good options to learn from.

I picked up a Bushnell 3200 this year and have been satisified with it. It's 2-7x32 and the glass is very nice and clear on it. I hunted all winter with it and shot the gun a lot at the range. Still holding zero today. I wouldn't recommend the firefly reticle though.
