Best AR barrel for predators.

I'm currently building a 5.56 AR that will be used for coyote hunting. I want to keep it as light as possible but i would like to have something to shoot 3/4 MOA or better. I currently have one with a 24" bull barrel that'll shoot 3/8" center to center groups at 100 yards but it just too long and heavy for carrying all night from set to set. What would you guys recommend on barrel companies, profile, and length. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the response widow maker. Have you tried one of those barrels yourself? And I'll check out the black hole barrels too.

I know many people that love the Green Mountain AR barrels. Their 10/22 barrels are legendary among target shooters.
I will be testing real soon.

I like a lightweight barrel, Battle Arms just started offering their 16" Ultramatch LIGHTRIGID barrel LINK

Lothar Walther makes good barrels at affordable prices LINK

Go stainless, avoid chrome-lined. Voodoo's melonited barrels are supposed to me 1MOA guaranteed, I can't find any accuracy reviews though.

18in MK12 DPMS barrel is cheap and shoots well. I have built 3 ARs using these barrels and they all shoot under and inch at 100yds.

thats a sweet looking barrel give us a range report

Thanks for your responses. I think I'm going to try to keep it around $250 or so in price. If it's a little more then I'll probably still get it. Some of the lead times of the barrels that I have looked at seem pretty long. I'm just hoping to find a barrel that is in stock somewhere so I can finish up this build. The barrel is the last piece to my puzzle. Lol

I really like this barrel but I haven't heard any reviews on the accuracy that people are getting.

Looks like this is the same barrel that you have widow maker.

It looks like it would be light enough for what I want to do with it, but I don't know how accurate it will be. Also, would this barrel be something that I would be able to use for years to come (barrel life)? I am also new to reading about what the best barrel material is: stainless, chrome-moly, chrome-lined,etc? I also am wondering if this barrel would fit in my UTG handguard? I've even saw some barrels like the ones made by stag arms are made of 410 stainless but this GM barrel is made of 416 stainless. What's the difference? I'm guessing one is harder but will one outlast the other?

Sorry for all of the questions but I'm new to the building aspect.

I don't see a problem with that handguard. just as long as you use a low profile gas block. I like stainless the best. chrome lined is generally thought to be a hindrance to accuracy. my CBI barrel is chrome lined and it shoot pretty good. although I would rather it had been stainless or non chrome lined.

There isnt much difference between the types of stainless barrels. I think 410 is a little harder but i havnt herd any accuracy gains. A stainless barrel will out last a steel barrel unless you are really hot rodding it. That is the same barrel. They want me to do a review but im waiting on a $40 stripped upper to show up. GM makes barrels for a lot of top AR companys including Colt.

Also it's kind of hard to tell by the pic. What profile barrel is that? What are the measurements? If you don't mind me asking. Also i know you haven't shot it yet but based on your past experience with GM barrels do you expect it to shoot MOA or less?
