best cheap used rifle /shotgun you have enjoyed

Remington 700 Mountain Rifle off the used rack at a local sporting goods store, think it was 375. I put a Zeiss 3-9 scope on it that more than doubled the price of the unit. Made a very nice rig.

My Mossberg 500 I bought new at a Black Friday sale. I take that shotgun with me everywhere. I've rattle-canned the entire gun twice and I will probably give it another camo job next year. I've used that shotgun to hunt turkeys, ducks, geese, pheasants, quail, grouse, chuckar, rabbits and, of course, coyotes.

I have only done one full disassemble of the ol' 500 and that was last fall. I want to buy a new semi, but I keep spending my money on gas for trips, ammo and other guns. Why fix what ain't broken? (He11, I've accidentally driven over the gun twice and it still won't break!)

Ooh now I've got a doozy for ya!
My dad handed down to me an old Marlin model 55 bolt action .12ga(goosegun) with a detachable 2-round clip. Over the years I shot many fox and deer with it.I could quite literally, throw 3 slugs at a running deer with the same speed of a pump-action! I actually shot double skeet with it a few times. It started to get pretty banged up so we gave it a tactical paintjob(flat black). The sights got flubbed up years ago, so we made a rear sight out of J.B. weld and filed it down til it was just right. Worked like a charm and darn near indestructible! lol
It now lives back in my dads gun cabinet, but I had a great time giving that gun a reputation!

My favorite cheap/used guns are:
shotgun = Franchi 48AL 20ga
rifle = Colt AR-15
pistol = Ruger MK1

All bought in the late 80's just after high school. Those three guns have killed a lot of critters over the years.

My brother and I have joint custody of an H&R Pardner break-open 410. That is by far the most fun gun I/we have. Parents had a bunch of Dick's points and they were running a sale, so we got it for 50 bucks. I actually asked him what he thought about trading it to me for my mossberg 500 in 410 last night. He was game, but I don't know if I want to or not. The break open is the best little rabbit gun.

A 788 rem in 6mm. Paid 115 dollars for it. Shoots groups that can be covered by a quarter with every ammo I have tried.
