I have been seeing a few fox behind where I work and was thinking about setting up for them one of these days. I have the foxpro 416B, whats some of the better calls on here to use?? I"ve had good luck with the woodpecker for coyotes around my area. Everytime I put a rabbit in distress call on, they go the other way. I know fox aren't coyotes so what works for one, might not work for the other. Thanks for any input.

BTW I have these sounds on my call.

0. coyote locator
1. interrog howl
2. male challenge
3. female coyote inv
4. coyote pup dist #2
5. red fox pup
6. bobcat in heat
7. jackrabbit dist
8. rabbit dist #1
9. rodent distress
10. fawn bawl
11. prairie dog dist
12. woodpecker dist
13. starling dist
14. crow fight
15. p-dog whistle

If you have been seeing them they probably are getting ready to drop their kits, If you wait awhile say mid to late June would try the pup call on real low volume, If you know the area and trust your memory try to pre-position the call the day before.

Personally I wouldn't shoot them while raising their young ,but it may provide a good Photo-op.

Of the sounds you have on your caller. I would use Jackrabbit distress first try, then Cottontail #1 and then woodpecker.

I agree with vaportrail. Let em provide you with more targets at a later date, unless they are becoming a nuiances. Get some pictures for now and post em on here.
