I was needing some help on buying a motion decoy been have had several yotes stop at 500 yards out. Was hopeing this might bring them on in. I also just got an AR-15 for Christmas and was wanting to camo it should I paint it or tape it? Any help greatly appreciated.

Check out the Predator Enticer. It runs totally quiet and is easy to pack and set up. www.tail-wagger.com Or check under "Other Calling Equipment" on this board there is more information there about the Predator Enticer.

Cheyenne, I have seen the Rigor Rabbit and the predator supreme as well. As far as I am concerned, not getting paid for my choice, the predator supreme from decoy heart is the best on the market! You can get it from cabelas or from the decoy heart site itself www.decoyheart.com I have looked at the Predator Inticer, but It almost looks too complicated. Thats just my personal opinion.

Ive tried em all...

Enticer is the way to go...

EDIT: If the coyote are hanging up consistently at 500 yards, you probably have bigger issues to work on than simply adding a decoy. You may want to re-asses your basic calling/stand tactics from the beginning. Good huntin'

I have used the decoy heart with great success over the lst couple of years. I picked mine up at the local pet supply store. They sell them there as toys for cats. Placed it inside a stuffed rabbit. The Stick version that they sell for #39.00 looks good and would do the trick.

RB, I'm not getting paid, either, but I was one of the product testers for the Predator Enticer and I can't really find anything complicated about jambing a hollow rod into the ground inserting the decoy into the rod and flipping a switch. It is light weight, no noise, and easy to carry. It is definetly a viable option not to be dismissed.

The only one I have used is the Rigor Rabbit. I have not been thrilled with it's performance. It is rather bulky to pack. I think I am going to give one of the Predator Enticers a try. Looks light, simple, and attractive to a predators eye. Robbs further analogy of the 500 yard hang up situation, is super accurate advice in my opinion.

Take care

Thanks for all the help. I'm still new to calling but have had good results except for the ones staying out of range. I would really like to go with an experienced yote hunter to see what i'm doing wrong. I had posted my email adress on an earlier question but received no replies. If anyone would like to help email me at dozerman161@hotmail.com thanks again

Can't help you on the decoy as I just got a Rigor Rabbit and only used it a couple of times. As far as painting your AR, I wouldn't do it. I'd have to paint mine for all the seasons and how much paint buildup would that be after a year or so? I use a H.S. Camo Gun Sock. This one is rough because it was on an Ithaca 37, and a Rem 1100 before stopping on the Bushmaster

Hopefully the image works

Then for snow, you can rubberband some pieces of old sheet to it. Simple, cheap, effective.
I replaced the sheet that I used for my torso this past week with some military surplus snow coat and pants. No pic for that yet.
You can also get some vetrap from veterinary supply stores which some guys on another board swear by. Just some options for you to check out.

My vote goes to the decoyheart. I have never used any other decoy because I have had so much success with the dc that I don't need to look any further.
