Best Reloading Equipment

I love these posts where people bash Lee. Fact: Lee has as good or better dies than ANYONE in the business. Fact: The Lee Classic Press is as good if not better than any other single stage press on the market. Fact: Case prep of rifle cartridges is where the time is spent. Aside from that, the Lee Turret Press can crank out a high number of rounds in a hurry, albeit not what a true progressive can.(but at the pace that Lee has been improving their product line, I would look for a very comparable progressive in the near future) And the new Turret Press is of equal or superior quality to that of Redding or Lyman. Fact: The people at Lee are knowledgeable and VERY helpful. Lee makes high quality equipment for affordable prices. (FWIW - my firearms of choice are Benelli shotguns, high end AR's, Wilson Combat 1911's, and Barrett rifles. I don't buy junk.) Fact: There is a lot of good reloading equipment out there. Do a little research and I'm sure you will find what suits your needs.

Well, here's one fact:

The only set of dies I've ever owned that wouldn't load accurate ammo was a set by Lee. Too much runout in the neck, I couldn't get groups under 3 inches with them.

One set of dies does not a statistical universe make, but I have not had any such problems with dies from Redding, Dillon, Lyman, or Hornady, and the general quality of finish on all those brands is far superior to the set of Lee dies that I threw away. Far away.

I do everything on a Dillon RL550B.

I HATE my Dillon 550 and 900! They are too fast, too dependable, too reliable and where I used to spend 5-6 hours in the reloading room, now I spend 2 hours or less. So I am trying to find things to do in those extra hours. What am I doing? Buying more guns on the internet. Those Dillons are costing me money! Back to the single stage press for me.

Claim, I'm here to save you some money and put a little in your pocket at the same time. I'll take both the 550 & 900 off your hands for $50. Well, okay, make it an even $100 and I'll come pick them up from ya. When can we meet???

The Co-Ax is the best press, period. Government agencies with unlimited funds use it to compete in World Cups, World Championships, the PanAmerican Games and the Olympics.

Stu did you talk to Lee usualy they will wokd with you. I have never loaded as good of ammo as I have with my Lee dies I have used the others, and I'm not saying they are junk, but the Lee are very easy to use. I just think if your new at this the Lee is easy to use and has excelent instruction. JMHO

If you need to save money go Lee, if you want stuff that lasts and won't break when you need it most, go with someone else. I have also tossed out more Lee stuff than I care to mention, soft parts that wear out, broken castings, chrome that flakes off, the list goes on. RCBS, Lyman, Forester, Dillion, their all tops, Lee fills a nitch but when I sit down to do a thousand rounds of one thing it won't be by using Lee.

No, I didn't bother. They prolly would've replaced them but I didn't feel like wasting the time on it, much less more bullets, powder & primers. I was pretty disgusted with them.

I also have a Lee single stage press that I fondly regard as a POS. Pot metal, sloppy, very cheaply made.

I know a lot of people load accurate ammo with Lee products, but I have not been impressed with them.
