whats the sturdiest, strongest, best bases and rings out there for the x-bolt? i use leupold std 2 piece for all my other brands of rifles but have never tried anything else yet. are the one piece browning x-lock any good? please post pics of your x-bolt setups if you have handy.

I really like the Talley LW's. Mel Forbes (NULA) design and solid as a rock IME.
I think they're about 2 oz. total weight if thats important to you.....

The Browning 1-piece rings/bases are made by Talley. I used them on my A-Bolt and they are excellent.

I cant say they're the best but Burris Sig Zee's with the inserts will get you closer to where you want to be with the least use of the scopes adjustment turrets.I only have them on one rifle but they seem to work as claimed. Most of my rifles came with rings so I just used those.

I just picked up my X-Bolt 'Micro-Hunter' in 7mm-08 yesterday. I plan to put on either a Leupold 1.75-6, or a Bushnell Elite 3-9 scope. The Talleys are supposed to be slightly higher per size than others, I went with a 'Low' height.

Midwayusa has them, 'Wholesale Hunter' may even be cheaper, may or may not have lows in stock. I would get a 2 piece, the Talleys rate very high by most users.
