best scope $200 or less

Mueller APV 4.5X12 40mm. $115.00. Have one on my HMR and clear at 150 plus yards is an understatement. Great scope in low light conditions too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check rimfirecentral.com. Tons of info for rimfire rifle scopes..... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I second the Pentax gameseeker with precision plex. I got the 3x-9x-50mm for my T/C Omega for $119 shipped. E.A. Brown had the one mentioned above about the same price and they are sweet, my boss got one and it is the bomb. I like the Nikon Buckmasters too, they just don't offer much in the 44mm to 50 mm range for the price your looking at. Then again, a 40mm on a hummer or magnum isn't the worst choice either. I hope to upgrade my hummer scope in the next few years from the "Sweet 17". It will likely be the Pentax or a Prostaff in 3x-9x or 4x-12x

I have 5 Pentaxs Gameseekers and they are very nice scopes for the money.........Burris makes them. WHatever you do dont waste your money on a Nikon Buckmasters scope. In my opinion the worst scope made for low light conditions. For $200 you can get a 3x9x40 or 4x12x40 Leupold VX I on Ebay with a lifetime warranty even though its used.

Sightron SII scopes are the best I have seen for under $200 , they are the brightest scopes I have ever seen even comparing to scopes that cost twice as much. I have a couple Leupolds also but that is only because I had never seen a Sightron before I purchased the Leupolds or I never would have.

another vote for the Burris FF2. I've had one on my AR for a couple years now. Good at low light and I like the ballistic plex. Two years of shooting and riding in the rack on my ATV and yet to have to take the scope caps off or re-zero.

Burris FF2, Bushnell Elite 3200 or Pentax Gameseeker in this order. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Nikon prostaff are good. Got 2 of them , even dropped one accidentally off a bench in the garage onto the cement and it is still just as good as ever.
