I have found that mornings through midday work best and for some reason they seem to be more active on overcast days...

Diddo on what Stretch said. Afternoons seem made for runnin' and gunnin', but I usually call it quits by noon.

I was always out before sunrise. Started callin the first few waves heading out to their feeding grounds. The rest is history.

Never had much luck in the evenings though.

About an hour after sunrise till 3 or 4 in afternoon is best. If they are flocked up, evenings can be great!

Mornings are by far the best time! In the afternoon and evening hours is the time to have a mouth call to stop them long enough for a shot with the rifle as they sit on a branch looking around.
