Hello, I've found the best way to drag virtually anything over a long distance it a childs sled, like you mentioned. If you can find the smaller toboggan(sp?) type sleds that are about 3 1/2 feet long seem to do well even with deer. The large footprint they leave is easier to pull but more difficult to manuver that the saucer shaped ones.JA in SD
