And dropped off my Mod 7 that I had re barreled to .20 VarTarg, I think it came out very nice but my pics leave allot to be desired,
Started off with a mod 7 in .17FB and had Bob Green true the action and chamber a 24" Pacnor #3 contour SSM 11 twist barrel in 20 VT.
Replaced the factory trigger with a Jewell, and the bottom metal with PTG ST bottom metal and bedded in a McMillan Hunter stock.
The scope is a Leupold VX3 4.5-14x40 with the Varmint Hunters reticle mounted in Burris Sig Zee rings and 2 pc Burris mounts it came in a little heavier than I wanted it at 7 lbs but close enough

Sweet looking rig and I love the caliber.

Has Bob done work for you before? I plan on sending him parts for a .223 AI later this summer.

He was extremely patient over the phone and very helpful. Looking forward to working with him.

Brad
Thanks
I've had Bob build a few for me I think this is the 5th one, He is very professional does outstanding work and has very good turnaround time he is also going to build my 17-204 when the barrel gets here

Rich44 - Wow! Just WOW! Awesome looking rig. I'm sure it will shoot even better than it looks.

Shoot a .20 Vartarg just once, and you'll quickly be hooked. May just be THEE perfect small caliber.

Having had 2 built by Bob his attention to detail is excellent, his work is even better and he is a great great guy to boot. He'll probably handle my next build whatever it turns out to be. (Thinking at .223AI myself).

Well this one sure did turn out nice. I love the McMillan Hunter stock as I have one on a 20 VTT

Now you've got me all jacked up wanting to send my stuff to Bob. But I don't have everything yet.

Good Job on this rifle.

Yea I don't think you can get much more barrel in it than a #3 I thought it may be to much stock for the model 7 but it feels great

Very nice; thanks for sharing. I have a .221 LVSF to sacrifice for a .20 VT, and Kindler's 40 minutes away. A good, "full time" gunsmith is hard to find in my area, so I'll give Green a try.

Thanks, where in Ohio are you? check Bob out you won't be disapointed + he has a very good 20VT reamer

looks like your hunt went very well I really need to do that, 17FB and 20VT would be perfect for rats
