Biggest coyote you've killed?

Admittedly I haven't weighed but a handful of coyotes I've shot. I will if they seem bigger than usual just to see. I shot the biggest one I've personally shot in my lifetime (that I know of) yesterday. He weighed 47.6 pounds. I seriously doubt any that I didn't weigh on a scale topped that one.

So what's the biggest one you've shot? I expect the coyotes way up North to be the heaviest but I may be surprised.

The group I hunt with got 1 yote about 10 years ago 72 lbs. this is no bs. We feel it was cross bread with a dog or something. We do know it wasn’t a wolf or a coy wolf. The head on it had a doggish look. Average coyotes where I hunt are 25-40 lbs.

3 pounds short of a record. That's a big one no matter how you look at it.

Biggest one I’ve shot in Michigan was 36.04 lbs . I’ve seen much bigger at the tournaments, but for me personally it was a big one.
He was raising cane at a animal rescue farm for almost two months before he gave me the opportunity.
I did 7 sets there over the two months and he never fell for it, till I uploaded chicken distress .

And 72 lbs is a big one!

Biggest Iowa coyote weighed exactly 40lbs. Biggest Minnesota coyote weighed 38.4lbs. You can usually tell which ones are heavier after dragging them to your truck. Lol!

No idea how heavy but he was big and very old.
Montana Pale, he got us $150 last year just skinned not finished.

I’ve weighed numerous coyotes, nearly all of them are 32 to 37 pounds. Smallest I’ve weighed was 27, largest 43. I have killed bigger, but not in a place where the whole carcass was getting hauled out. Also shot a pup in late September at 12,100’ elevation that couldn’t have been more than 15 pounds.

Never have weighed one but can’t remember too many bigger then this guy. I’m 6’5” 250 for scale I guess. He was heavy holding him up for the picture I know that

I had a heck of a night hunt in late January 2016 where I shot a triple over the course of the night. This was about 30 minutes outside of Syracuse, NY. I am confident that they had a good supply of road killed deer to gorge themselves on which may have helped with the weights. I don't normally weigh them but two seemed so big I got out my scale. I rechecked my scale when I got home because it seemed unbelievable but the scale was dead on. Would have made a heck of an entry in a contest, that's for sure.

30.73, 55.5, 51.6 pounds as they hang:

January 2016 my nephew wanted to come out and coyote hunt with me and his dad. So I decided to hold off hunting behind my house. I had been seeing what appeared to be a large yote. When we got to the back of the field we see this coyote and it sees us. It was pretty foggy that morning and 40 degrees. The coyote disappeared in the fog. We stop and I start hand calling (jackrabbit). Out of nowhere the coyote appears, I had to tell my nephew probably 5-6 times to shoot. He had never hunted or shot anything in his life. He shoots and the dog drops, I tell him to wait and I’ll go get his prize. Coyote was 116 yards out, I walk up to the coyote grab it by it’s back leg it jumps up spins around and tries to to bite me. Then it tries to run off, falls down 3 times then finally expires. No I didn’t have a gun on me, that won’t happen again. Coyote weighed 41 lbs even. Biggest dog I’ve seen. I could of killed this coyote a few times. But it was great for the 3 of us to hunt together. I never weigh my dogs but this one felt heavier than normal.

About 20 yrs ago I brought one to LGS and we hung it on the scale they use for deer and it went 49 pounds. Got a 46 a couple years ago and get a couple low 40's every year. I started carrying a fish scale with me to see if I can break 50pounds.
