Need some help choosing a bipod before this weekend. I know its going to be a Harris pivoting, I just don't know the length.
8-13?
11-25?
13.5-27?
I'm 5'10 and it will be attached to my r-15 when I get it, and its use will be prairie dogs and coyotes. I am mostly a coyote hunter that prone shoots but would like to have a sit n shoot at the same time if its workable. Help me out please
good hunting,
Judd

I prefer an 8-13 and shooting sticks. Go prone on the bipod and sitting/kneeling on the sticks. Best of both worlds all the time. It not much weight to have both with you.

I agree with arcorley, I only hunt coyotes and 95 percent of the time i am in the sitting position. I tried 2 different bipods and ended up going to shooting sticks. The bipods tend to get hung up in the weeds or sticks when a coyote shows up where you least expected it and you have to turn half way around to get a shot. Its easy to do with the sticks, just pick the gun up out of the sticks and swing around. You have to make an offhand shot but its better that not getting a shot caus your bipod kept your gun hung up in the brush. Just my 2 cents.
I have a couple of bipods forsale if interested.
On your R-15, did you get the 223 or 204? I am seriously considering buying one this weekend.

same answer as them two.. and same question as bcbuck... and where did u purchase yours at, and what was the price..i noticed the 1,000 dollars mrsp on the remington site.

Sorry don't have it yet. yeah thats a bunch of bull, remington for the longest time posted $999 retail on the gun and now its back at $1145. My local gunshop owner quoted me $945 last week though. Still no guns however.

if it helps any im pretty sure Gander is the only place to get the r-15 in as of right now and their prices are the highest ive had qouted to me...i put a down payment on a r-15 in a .223 with the 22 in barrell last week and i was told it should be in either this week or next week

I'm not too worried about when they come in. But like cats13 said this or next week. Don't need mine till June and can't afford optics till next month so, when I get it, it will be a-lot of oogling before it even gets shot. Still don't know about an adapter for the r-15, do I need one if I get a Harris?

I use the short Harris bipod and a set of Stoney point or Predator Sniper Styx's. This covers them all. I am short and the tall bipods are not tall enough for me. If you are 5 10 don't think you would even be close.
