Bipod or shooting sticks

i like sticks too! i customized my own but im in the market for some new johnny Stewart sticks with the band thatw raps around the stock and barrel! like 10 bucks at cabelas! they used them in most of thier operation predator videos! seemed to work very well for them!

sticks, glad I bought the most popular bipod because it was easy to sell. Sticks are so much more versatile and cheaper.

Stoney point rapid pivots here you get the best of both worlds flexible, light and easy to transport like sticks but attach to your gun for more stability

I seem to shoot better off a bipod than sticks, so I use bipods and I never forget my bipod when I get out of the truck. Forgot my sticks more than I care to admit.

At least you left yours in the truck. I just lost a pair. Forgot to put them back in my pack last week.

Bi-pod for me. When I'm setting up for calling, the gun is up, butt stock in my shoulder, pointing in the varmint's logical approach. A lot less movement if you get caught flat footed. I generally fudge a bit to the right, as a right hander, it's easier to move the gun to the left if needed. Also, I'm on snowshoes alot here lately, with poles, and I don't have a third arm.

Harris 27 incher, swivel for sure.

BogPod just came out with a tripod that extends from 6" to 40".

I'm trying to rein in that desire.....

+ 1. I really made a go at using sticks this year. Really I did. After missin a some shots that would of been chip shots with the bipods I went back to a Harris Bipod (Not sure of the model but it's the swivelin kind that adjust from approx. 12-30", just right for prone or sittin). Plus we had to go back to stands twice this past season to retrieve sticks. I need all the help I can get anymore.

Sticks. Fiber glass 3/8" fence posts with 3/8" tubing on the end. For me they are easier to adjust and move right or left. Of course, I had to paint them as mine were white. I have forgotten them a couple of times at the truck.

Fortunately, I still remember where I parked the truck.

Stixs and stoney point rapid pivot is all I will use. Have a few buddies that would come with me occaisionally and for the most terrain I hunt their bi-pods worked. It was funny to watch them try to get into a good shooting position when the terrain was steep and coyotes were coming to the call from below. LMAO. Most of them have switched to the rapid pivot system now.

I have both a Harris bi-pod and some shooting sticks that I made. I use the sticks 99% of the time, like the others have said they work better on uneven ground.
