Well, I got my .17hmr out this weekend to shoot at a pdog target. A 3-9X40 is ok, but out past 100 yrds, that pdog sure got small. I ordered a Vortex crossfire 4-12X40 and it should be here by Friday. Hope to put it thru its paces this weekend. Anybody else shooting a Vortex?

Ive got a new Vortex 3.5x10x50 Diamondback in the box but I havent mounted it on anything yet...Im looking at another AR to add to the arsenal and I will put that on it...They are great scopes from what research I have done...I read the have the best warranty in the buisness, unconditional!!!...It doesnt matter if you run over it with a truck, they still will replace it...Just from looking thru the tube, its a bright as any Nikon or Leupold that Ive looked thru....Good luck....

I'm pleased with my 4x16x40 diamondback, been good so far. My only complaint would be eye relief, other than that love it.

I wasn't aware that Vortex made a 4x16x40 Diamondback otherwise I probably would have bought one. I have a 4x12x40 Diamondback that has been on my 204 but now will be put to work on my 243. The verticle click value on this scope is dead on but 4 horizontal clicks at 100 yds will move the POI 1 3/4" rather than one inch. Otherwise I like the scope. Dave

just got it in and mounted.......initial impression is clear optics and smooth adjustments.......gonna try to sight in this weekend.

Well, took it out this past Saturday and I am impressed with this scope. Tracks well, smooth adjustments, poi does not shift, clear optics and a nice looking scope on top of that. I think Vortex has a good thing going and it will not be my last one to purchase.
