Black Bear Attack Caught on Video

It has been in the local paper, Jim Thorpe Pa. is about 9 mi. North of where I live.
Wonder how the bear got rabies, it seems like "EVERYONE" has feeders out anymore, especially in the developments, possibly another rabid animal visited a feeder and passed it on to the bear through saliva ???

Rabies virus doesn't not remain viable outside the body. Virus could remain viable inside the mouth(saliva) of a dead animal for a short time, depending on temperature. More likely bear fed on an infected animal, saliva transfer. Pretty common for mammal carried viral/bacterial diseases to have very short( seconds) survival times on inanimate surfaces.

Rabies or not the guy went the wrong way. Should have gone exact opposite way. Much closer to the car then and should have gone soon as he saw the bear.
