Black coveralls

Hello everyone, I've been reading a loooong time but haven't posted due to finding most of my answers by reading, trial and error.
I do have a question that I couldn't find the answer to. I was given a very nice and warm pair of coveralls (snowmobile suit) last year that are colored solid black. I don't use them coyote hunting becouse they stand out like a sore thumb. I am due for some new clothing for huntin coyotes and would really like putting these new ones to use. I tried a burlap poncho but it seemed to get in the way at the most inopertune times.
Any of you guys have any good ideas on how to break up the outline of these things to make them useable? I'm a cheap %$#@!@#! and will do what ever I can to save $$.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

It would cut down on their life a bit, but you might be able to bleach them out to grey. It would work in the snow then.

I wonder if you could dye/paint them...

How about getting some cheap camo blind material, cutting it into strips, and having it sewed onto the coverals? Or you could just make the blind material into a poncho and wear it over the coverals. I've done that before it works pretty good.

Any kind of cheap tan to white material that can be sewn into a cheap cover suit will work.

Even a light colored bed sheet thrown over the top of you will work.

I gota tell you though...when I started doing this I went calling with a guy that called wearing black Carharts in snow. I thought he was crazy and couldn't imagine him calling anything in wearing that stuff. I was very skeptical till I saw it happen...several times. Even in open country, they came into range just like they were supposed to.

Thanks for the suggestions, I think I will try to find some of that fabric paint and give it a try. Thanks for the link tonlocus. My wife suggested looking at a kraft store to find it locally. If anyone has ever used that stuff, can you give any feedback. If not, I'll let you know how it turned out when I get it done. Hopefully this weekend.
Thanks again folks.

My only concern would be possible noise from them. I'm not a snowmobiler, but I know all my snow skiing outer clothes is very noisy if rubbed against anything-sage, bushes, arm against torso etc. Just something to think about...

One of the guys I hunted coyotes with, had black coveralls, and he always got coyotes. He said he looked like a Black Cow or just another black rock. You have a lot of black rocks, over your way. Have you gone out and tryed it? I've got Careharts cover alls in brown and they work for calling coyotes, when its colder the -0. GENE'O

I think what I would spray on that suite would be "Krylon" camo paint. Lots cheaper than the "fabric spray". The Walmart store here has several colors (5) I belive. It sure works nice on rifle barrels.

I know when i first got into the Marines we had outer suites we put over our cold weather gear. It was a white cover suit. I see them on cabelas and i have seen them in surplus military stores. I would go look for that. We had 2 different kinds issued to us. One was complete white the other one had some stick looking stuff in it so you look like a tree. Here is the link to the one on cableas.

I agree with lotec. I have an old pair of coveralls that are real thin and uninsulated. I wear them on the out side of my carhart gear so I can adjust to the temperature. I have carhart gear for all temperatures, and it would cost a small fortune to buy all that stuff in camo. So I would look into a cheap set of camo coveralls to wear over it. I have been doing it for years and I think it is the way to go.
