I was just wondering if anyone here has ever seen or shot a black or silver fox. I have an uncle who has shot a few silvers they're relly nice lookin. Here in southern ontario no one sees the you have to go further north around georgian bay and even further.

Not many people answer on this sight, i have found out, generally i change the question and stick it on the regular pred hunting section. it is sad but it is the best way to get a Q answered.

HunterTay,
I've never seen a black or silver fox out in the wild, but you're right, they are cool lookin'. I've got a silver fox hide that I got from a guy who raises fox. I've never heard much from anybody that has seen them while out hunting. You guys up in Canada are some, and possibly some of the guys up in Alaska have. You might try asking this question in the "Great White North" category of this site. Good Luck....Greg

Tay,a friend of mine shot a silver fox about 12 years ago in North Central Pennsylvania.(Tioga County) He has it mounted and i have seen it. It's pretty neat looking. They are pretty rare though and tough to come across.Definitly a trophy if you can bag one.

Cool, thanks for sharing guys. I copied and pasted this question in the great white north section and also got a few answers there.
