Black or Silver foxes

I was just wondering if anyone here has ever seen or shot a black or silver fox. I have an uncle who has shot a few silvers they're relly nice lookin. Here in southern ontario no one sees them you have to go further north around georgian bay and even further. I heard that there is quite a few of them up in Alaska. The other day I did see a croos fox though.

Silvers are around but not that common. I've missed shots at two last year. LOL. Cross & reds are most common but there is that occasional silver. My problem is that because they aren't that common I tend to "study" them more when they come in trying to see if they are a true silver or just a cross and then miss!!

I see them on occasion in the upper peninsula of Michigan. But I think most were from the fox ranches that use to be up there. Not many but we do get one or two every year.

Thanks guys. I think they are really cool. Sometime in the future I plan to hunt anticoste island (quebec) you can take for deer with a license. If a go up there I would also bring a .223 because I've seen pics, and heard that there is a high population of silvers there, around 30% which is more than the typical 1 or 2% here in ontario. I was also wondering if any one knew if back in england, do they have blacks and silvers, or is that stricktly to north america.
