Black Rain Ordnance

They are right up the road from me, no first hand experience other than handling some of their stuff they make some nice parts.

i was out at the range one day last summer and a guy had just picked one up and after he got it together he shot it about 5 rounds then looks over at me and asks if i want to shoot it....well [beeep] yea I do i said but its brand new and they are not cheap i said i dont need to shoot it.

anyway he persisted and passed me a 30rd clip told me to empty it.

it was a sweet little rifle and very accurate with iron sights, idk if i could justify the $2300 price tag though

Thanks for the input guys.
I was hoping to get someone to respond that has one. I am interested as to why the price tag on them is so high. I realize they are probably a good rifle but what makes them better than say a RR or other manufactured rifle.

I think there is a ton of machine time into building them, with the flash hiders and spiral fluted barrels etc. They are very nice but i see them as a show piece more than anything

The uppers and lowers are milled so the process would probably make them more expensive. I have one and it is a sweet rifle. I built it from a matched upper and lower that my wife bought me for a wedding anniversary gift a couple of years back. For sure my favorite AR I own.
