I have always wanted to call in a bobcat. I just bought a tape that is 30 mins of a rabbit in distress. I just have a regular tape player to play it in. Will this call in a bobcat. I am thinking about getting the woodpecker tape if the the rabbit tape does nit work. what kind of places should i be hunting. i sit in a feild today and tryed to get a fox. I am not sure if there are any coyotes around here. this evening i am going to go into the woods by a creek and try to call up a fox or bobcat. any ides on how i can inprove my odds? thanks

What part of SC do you live? I live in York County and I have no problem finfing places to Coyote hunt. I have been told that if you are hunting bobcats you should keep the tape volume somewhat low. I have not called in any cats yet but I aim to take coyotes when I hunt so I use a hand blown call. I wish you much success.
SC Predator Hunter

I don't know what what part of SC you're in, but I hunt in Southeastern NC around 20 miles or so from Horry County SC and we have Coyotes here.

i am in greenville south carolina. i know they hve them about 20 miles south of here but i haven't herd of any around my house.

i checked the game laws today at work and it said that you can't use a light. there isn't any other way to hunt them at night is there?

Willie be careful hunting at night in SC especially if your using a light. It isn't legal in SC unless you have a predation permit from the DNR.

I hunt in Pickens and Oconee counties. I am sure you have a lot of coyotes over near you house. Seems like they are everywhere now.
