Bobcat rug

Just don't get up in the middle of the night and accidentally shove a bare foot in it's mouth... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

No doubt, one of the NICEST I've ever seen! Beautiful pelt and SUPER job on the head. Has that 'lifelike' look to it that seems lost in some taxidermy...

Thanks for sharing!

looks REALLY good .can't wait to get mine back. Apparently cats are tough to mount . not the case with yours but see alot with bugged eyes.

Thanks for the compliments.

What does something like that cost? I like the idea and will keep this in mind!

The cost of this rug was $600.00, With the work the taxidermist does, along with the tannery and rug maker cost's. Rugs tend to be a little pricey.

Yooper: That thing is beautiful. I'm probably the least knowledgeable on this forum, but I can see this piece is professional. It took my breath away. Please tell me you don't keep it on the floor, right? Is it possible to make a hat out of one of these, or do you need two or three pelts for that? I'd want to show it off in public. Well, I mean if I were a yooper. In the Twin Cites I'd have to be careful where I wore it; the old "know your audience thing".

It was a 32# male

WOW! That's a good sized cat. I was looking at the floor tile for scaling reference, and I was beginning to wonder if it was truly as big as I was estimating.

NICE Rug! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Yeah, that was either a burly cat, or the taxidermist is running a head-shrinking business on the side.

I bet that looks awesome in person.

Nice job, I like them rugged out like that.

Beautiful rug, Yooperman. I have seen a couple of extra nice coyote rugs done like that. I believe I like it just as much as a full body mount.
