Bobcats in Tennessee

This is a little off topic here, but could you Tennessee guys tell me if you're allowed to hunt bobcats on your WMA's? I was down last month turkey hunting and really liked it down there.
You're only five hours away and I'd love to try hunting cats in Tennessee.

This what the 2002 regs had to say; "In order to hunt or trap small game on WMAs with a "SG" after the name, individuals are reguired to have one of the following permits in addition to the regular hunting or trapping license. (Annual Small Game only-Type 093, 1-Day Small Game and Waterfowl-Type 092 or Annual Small Game and Waterfowl-Type 091)."
Season on Bobcats was in 2003-2004 hunting season Nov.21 thru Feb. 15. 1 per day.
Hope this helps.

You will need to check the regulations for the WMA you plan on hunting, as special rules apply.

SMALL GAME HUNTING ON WMA’s

Bobcat may be taken on any hunt that coincides with the statewide bobcat season except Oak Ridge WMA.

I don’t do many WMA’s as I hunt private property 99% of the time but the Tennessee statewide season for bobcat is:

Bobcat:
Opens - Nov. 21
Closes - Feb. 15
No Limit*
* Except the limit on bobcats is one per day. Bobcat pelts must be tagged in order to be sold.

Thanks guys you've answered my question. Sounds like I'm going to have a road trip this winter. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
