I recently picked up a Hogster 35 and now I am looking for a stock for my bolt action rifle that makes attaching accessories a little easier. Such as a light external battery and possibly a DVR. Please post a pictures of your rig and a description of the stock.Thanks.

Ill try and shoot for a bit of humor here because after spending several thousand dollars on an optic , likely a couple of to several hundred on trigger and action work ect...Just how balking and saving money by screwing plastic mlock rails to the crappy wood or synthetic most rifles come with nowadays is going to be an overall benefit to the hunting experience LOL . Now realize that I never said i wouldn't try it .. just that it likely wouldn't help LOL

I've posted this a few times, but this is my bolt set up.

** Bergara B-14 Ridge Rifle (22-250 cal)
** American Built Arms Mod*X Chassis
** Banish 30 Suppressor
** Bering Optics Super Hogster
** Night Stalker and Night Stalker Pro Tripod
** Night Goggles TRB Battery Pack
** FoxPro FoxGrip
** Alpine Dual Rifle sling

American Built Arms Mod*X Chassis: They make them for Rem 700, Bergara, Howa, and Weatherby. It is a nice, moderately priced chassis around $600. I liked that it came with everything besides trigger, receiver, barrel and bolt. I wanted something with an MLOK rail. It was something like 4 screws and you are done. It really was a simple process.

The power cord on the right has to be run up and over the Super Hogster scope to stay out of the way of the bolt. It still is a little tight, but it works for me.

This is my grouping when I zeroed my Super Hogster. 3 prone from a bipod and 3 off my tripod. 5 all touching with 3 in the same hole, with 1 about .10" off the group. This would be a very nice group with a glass scope off a sled, but with a thermal with 3 from a bipod and 3 off a tripod, I was impressed.

Hogster 35 mounted on Ruger American Ranch 5.56 sitting in Indian Creek Designs chassis ($400) that uses Ruger's factory AR mag. Omega 300 suppressor. Shoots 1 moa groups off the tripod.

Forgot to say that the ICD (Indian Creek Designs) chassis can be ordered with an mlok foregrip similar to Kirch's rig if you wanted that option. My particular foregrip is predrilled to attach a pic rail to the bottom if I wanted to add one later. ICD chassis is milled billet. I think right now they only offer chassis for RAR and Rem 700s

I am looking for a chassie design that uses the regular blind magazine found on the Remington 700 ADL I really dont need an AR magazine.

I don’t know of a chassis system that uses the blind mag of the adl. The Magpul Hunter stock will allow for BDL and/or the magazine. The Magpul Hunter is one of my favorites over all the chassis systems I own. It shoots as well as any of my stocks and/or chassis systems. For me, it’s the best of both worlds with a stock look and the adjustability of chassis systems.

I run an XLR chassis system on a Bergera 6mm creed and a Saber M700 chassis for a .308

I prefer the BDL and AR magazine over the ADL for the simple fact it is safer and quicker to load and unload.

Here is a picture of my .243 in the Magpul Hunter stock with the mag kit as I don’t have a pic with the BDL or my thermal in the QD mount installed:

When I have a coyote down and my stand is done, I will point the thermal at the last place I remember seeing the coyote and turn the laser on. I will then use this as my point of reference especially if hunting in some cover where I may not be able to see the downed coyote from my calling location. It also makes for a really good way to find your way back to your gun.

I am sure there are much higher quality options but I use this very simple one from Amazon, and it works ok just as a visible laser pointer. This one comes with a picatinny rail mount, so I just use a MLOK-picatanny rail that I attach to my gun, and then attach the Light and mount to the rail.

Ya, I had read one of your other posts indicating you use it for retrieval purposes...I just wondered how "powerful" of one was needed to point to 400-500yds if needed. I clicked on your link and that one is good to 1000ft at night, so basically 333yds. Thanks for the info.

Kirsch, it looks like you mounted your Arca plate using the bolts for the foreend/handguard...did you use the existing 2 bolts or did you have to get some longer ones? What Arca plate did you use? Thanks
