Bolt Handle Threading

Eric Martin at EM Precision does a great job and is very reasonable.

PM me and I can get you his contact info, not sure where in Illinois you are but Eric is in Oakland City, Indiana so maybe driving distance?

Karl Kampfeld http://www.kampfeldcustom.com/ has done many for me as well as a lot of other action work and he does very good work. Karl is not only a heck of a nice guy along with very good prices but also has about the fastest turn around time of anyone I have ever used. I've never heard anyone complain about anything folks have had Karl do for them so feel confident that whatever you send Karl, you'll be happy with it when it returns.

Unless you want the ability to change handles, another option, if you have access to a lathe, is to anneal a large steel ball bearing, grind existing bolt knob down and drill hole in ball to fit the stub. Soft solder ball to handle. IIRC, this is a 3/4" ball which I put on a 1903 target rifle bolt.

Flatten bottom of ball & stipple to provide room for trigger finger with the larger ball.
