Filled my 2026 Arizona javelina tag on February 16th. Which happened to be the last day of the hunt. Glassed up a herd in the morning then covered about a 1/2 mile to take this one at less than 20 yards.

The view from my glassing location just north of the border looking south into Mexico.

Some border wall construction going on a few miles from my hunt location.

Hunted a ranch for 22 years that was 14 miles long; mostly heavy brush, running from the Rio Grande due north. During Biden's invasion, found lots of discarded personal items, water bottles etc., even a cell phone once. An unpaved county road cut the ranch in half saw quite a lot of illegal traffic and a few LEO pursuits. Most of the illegals were mostly traveling at night & trying to avoid all human contact. Had more contact w/border patrol than we did w/aliens, but they were obviously around.

I've been hunting the nm and az border country quite awhile. Never really felt nervous.about illegals lots of sign,.backpacks water bottles and tuna and bean cans...more trouble with border patrol and ranchers spoiling a stand than illegals.
