I've been using the CCI Benchrest primers for many years. The only time I stray is if I am using something that recommends/requires a Mag primer.

They are said to be more consistant than standard primers. Don't know if it's true or not...just know I get great groups with my loads and that's all that counts.

I read a lot of good stuff about the Remington 7 1/2 primers too.

Some day when I'm up to playing a little I might try them just to see how the other half lives.....

I used a lot of them for 30 years but in the last 15 years have used only regular Win primers. My conclusion is that I wasted a lot of money buying BR and Mag primers.

YMMV

I like the CCI Br-2 primers with Varget powder. I do notice a diffence in group sizes in the 308 Win, 30-06 and 22-250. I have noticed that Varget prefers the milder CCI primers.

But all other powders Reloader series and IMR's I use either Fed 210 Match and 215 Match primers dep. on cal. I have noticed no diffence in F210 from F210M or F215 or F215M when using these powders.

With Win 760 powder I use the WLRM primer in a 300 WSM.

I have found that some loads do prefom better with the BR.primers I have one load in particular for my 19 cal that groups better with BR primers but there is one that likes Fed gm match better that the BR primers..... So just try them in your rifle and see what it likes better and use those......nice to have options

I know most places there is an 'upcharge' for BR primers but Sportsmens Warehouse around here they are the same price as standard primers. I use BR-4 in everything I have they will fit in...just habit.
