I just bought some (to me) very expencive 330 dakota brass from Dakota arms. a few of the cases are shorter then the trim to length by a few thousands. should I shoot them and see if they stretch or send them back. they are are $2.10 per case.

Yes, shoot them and pay attention to the brass after shooting with the short brass. I have shot short brass and have not noticed and problems. You could also use this step as a fire forming step.
IMO it will not hurt to shot that brass. However you paid alot of money for that brass, and if you do not like it then by all means send it back. Premium priced brass should be just that---premium. Tell us about your rifle. And of course the thread is not complete without a picture!!
