well, this sucks!! im just glad that the door is open!!

last saterday i was going through my safe, takeing a few things out and cleaning ect... (haveing the door open).

i put the combo back in my "safe-place" so to speak...and then the wife decides to do some cleaning her self....

now, i come in and see her cleaning in that area, and dident think too much of it...at first.

twards the end of the day, i come in and put everything back that i had drug out and (luckaly) go to make sure the combo is back were i put it just to find.....its not there!!

i ask her and she said i dont know what your talking about?

so i go through the trash and look all over but still canot find it!!

the Brinks company is owned by honeywell now i guess, is there anyway to retrive the combo?

I had a girlfriend, who is now an EX (Coincidence?), who locked my safe up, with my combo paperwork inside, on a new safe I was transfering firearms in and out of. It was a Liberty, but I'm sure it is a similar process.

There should be a serial number somewhere on the safe? You might need to have a local LEO or locksmith fill out/fax some paperwork before they give you the combo. I submitted the paperwork and they sent me my combo again.

Any locksmith should be able to get into it for you. I personally had my combination changed to an easy number which I could never forget. That was after I caught the wife trying to teach the stepkids how to get into the safe!! No one knows it now except me and the locksmith.

I once lost the combination to my safe. I was going nuts for a while but since I'd bought it at a show at the Metro Center. I called the people who sold me the safe and found out that they keep a file of the serial numbers and the name of the party that purchased the safe. I had to prove who I was but got the combination with no difficulty. I've since memorized the combination but I also keep at least two copies of it hidden just in case. My wife knows where they are but no one else does.

So the combination is... one, two, three, four, five? That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! The kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage!

The door is open?? Then your at the halfway point! You can try to contact Honeywell to get your combo, but good luck with that. You'll need a notorized letter stating you own the safe and possibly ownership papers to get it and it'll take 2 weeks for them to process and cost you $15-30.00. I'm a locksmith and have been safe certified for the last 9 years. If the door is open and your a little mechanical, I can walk you over the phone how to figure out the combo. Worst case scenario, take the door off (it should pull straight up) and take it into a lockshop and you'll get the same info without the wait and cost about the same. Give me a call at and we'll get you taken care of.

DUDE!!! There is no excuse for losing/forgetting the combination to your gun safe. If it happens again, we will be asking/demanding that you turn in your Man-Card.

+1 on the above. I had my safe for 1 day and memorized the combination. By the second day I was in and out of it so many times that I will never forget it in my lifetime.

I just have to ask after seeing you opened it on Saturday to do some cleaning, how long have you owned the safe? If you've owned that safe longer then a week there is no excuse.

Once you get it try this little trick; write the combination down like a telephone number or a certain part of several telephone numbers. Works great for me with pin numbers.

Just be sure to let the wife know about it or you might find yourself having to explain a telephone number that you really would prefer not to.
