Browning a-bolt trigger

Is it difficult to adjust the trigger in the browning a-bolt rifle? I have put a canjar in a model 70 and timmney in a ruger, a friend wants me to do some adjusting on his trigger. I don,t want to jump into anything where it's not my gun and safty is a factor. any info would be a big help (try it) or (go to a gun smith)

Thanks FRED

I have an A-bolt and to adjust the trigger all I had to do is remove the trigger guard.
The trigger pull adjustment screw is located at the rear of the trigger assembly. To decrease the weight of the trigger turn the screw clockwise. The trigger will adjust from 3 to 6 pounds. Good luck!

If that is the only adjustment, you would have to really try hard to mess it up. However, if the engagement and overtravel are also adjustable, you should know what you are doing. Nothing really difficult, you just need to make sure one adjustment is not interferring with another.

Hello
Yes, that is true, the Brownings have only one little screw underneath the guard. Mine adjusted out nicely, if your buddy's does not, you could have him spring for the Moyers adjustable trigger. I understand this one has the adjustements mentinoed by Jack and is a quality unit, and can be had for under 100 in some catalogs.
