Browning A-Bolt Varmit vs. Winchester Coyote Lite

OK gang,

I have been in the market for a Coyote Lite in 22-250 but it seems that some of the Coyotes have had accuracy problems. I was looking this weekend at the Browning A-Bolt Varmit, didn't love the looks but it came up very nice and the action is oh so smooth. What do we know about the accuracy of the A-Bolts. Brownings website says they are all free floated and glass beded at the factory, making this one of the most accurate rifles out of the box. The A-Bolts a bit heavier @ 8 pounds 3 ounces but I can manage that. I do like the Coyote lite, but I'm scared. What do you all think of these two guns?

I've heard good things about the lite version in the coyote, but I own two Brownings. One in 223wssm and the other in .30-06. I love the Brownings, very capable of sub 1moa. The only improvements I have done is trigger spring kits from Timney. Both of mine are synthetic stocks because I think there wood stocks are a bit to shiney. And they are floated and glass beded from the factory.

I have an A-Bolt Stainless Stalker in 7mm Rem. Mag that I love. My deer loads ar hitting about 7/8' at 100 yds and I haven't put the time in yet to dial that down. But my varmint loads are hitting under 1/2" at 100 yds.

i just ordered a A-Bolt varmint stalker in 243 wssm. Hope to get it by the end of the week. i own a brwoning stainless stalker in 7mm mag and it is a great gun.

Have 3 A-bolts now in Stainless stalkers and love them. They all shoot as good as I can. Cabela's had Varmit
A-bolts in .204 for 500.00 hoped Gander would match this price. Gander said no; dicountinued clearance item for Cabelas. Did not even know Browning was producing them. Would like to see a .204 in there stainless stalker
line.

My nephew bought one of the A-Bolt Varmints in .204 from Cabela's for $500. He says it's a really nice rifle! I'm like you in that I didn't even know Browning was making this rifle. Browning's website doesn't even list that gun in .204 Ruger! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

Nic 58: Your right, no 204 Ruger in the Browning Varmint Stalker on their site!! I just read on another site that a guy seen one in Gander Mountain for under $500. Now I can't find the damn site!!! Don't know if special run or what, but I'd definately be interested at that price.
