My wife and I have used a bps for 20+ years for turkey, deer ,and waterfowl. I own three bps's never had any problems and consider them some of the nicest (fit and finish) shot guns that I own. Hope this helps. I am at work and cant look at the link you posted.
I am very fond of BPS shotguns. I bought mine like 25 years ago or more. They cycle very smoothly, and the bottom eject is nice. Although mine looks a mite different than that one. It has pheasants engraved on one side of the receiver, and ducks on the other side.........
Bps is a fine shotgun. I own 2 that are over 30 years old now. Only objection I have with them is the inability to load directly into the chamber for a fast load. What will be the purpose of the gun in the link? Why the sights? For a slug gun I understand, otherwise not.
I have two BPS's and really like them. Both of mine are 10-15 years old and I have never had an issue with either of them, and one gets used a lot. I will go so far as to say that in my biased opinion the BPS is one of the best, if not the best pump action shotgun currently in production.
The BPS would be my first choice if I was shopping for a new Pump action.
I'm not too crazy about the 20.25 barrel on the model that you linked to, but the attached scope rail is a plus.
That must be a new model. I've never seen it before but think it would make a great turkey gun as well I've had several bps guns and currently only have a somewhat hard to find realtree 20 ga model that I use for turkey. But having seen this I may pick one of these up too now. They are great pump guns and like GC said a bit heavy but that helps with recoil. Good luck
I love my bps. Only shotgun I use. I have a nib 16ga bps with the English stock I will give my son someday and a youth 20ga the wife started on. I have other scatter guns even a couple nice o/u. But I always grab the bps when I go hunting or shooting
If you need a good turkey/predator shotgun, you'd be hard-pressed to beat that one in my opinion. I have a "regular" BPS that I've used for quail, doves, ducks, and even a few coyotes. It's a great shotgun that never lets me down.
While I do most of my upland hunting with an O/U, I exclusively use a BPS Upland Special 3" with a 21" barrel for turkey, predators, and geese. I changed out the English stock and put fiber optic sights on it. Since I'm a lefty, the tang safety is great. I love the BPS! The turkeys, coyotes, and geese that have met it would disagree though!
I appreciate everyones input.Iordered one and it came the other day. From what I read Browning has discontinued these.I am looking foward to shooting some coyotes and turkeys with this one. Thanks again.
Good for you, excellent choice. Glad you got one before you no longer can. Of course browning discontinued these! Seems every time a gun maker makes something I want, by the time I can afford it they get rid of them. Merry Christmas

I guess I am the only one who thinks this is a the worst design for a pump shotgun ever. I own or have owned many different pumps in my life and this is my least favorite. My wife's family is a big Browning family when it comes to shotguns and this is hers. It is heavier then the rest. It is a PITA to disassemble and reassemble to clean. The action bars are the problem and the way the trigger group has to spread them in order to go back together. When it gets dirty and your hunting in the water it will throw the 3rd shell into the lake. I have to clean it everyday during the waterfowl season so my wife doesn't loose shells. The only way I could see anyone liking this POS is lefties because it pumps out the bottom instead of in their face. I will stick to my 1300 Winchester.
Wow, that sounds a whole lot different than mine. I've owned it since college (close to twenty years) and never had any of those issues. It just keeps on chugging through dust, dirt, water, whatever. Every year or so I take the barrel off and the mag spring out and hose everything out with brake cleaner. Then apply some lube and it's back in action for another year.
