I have fallen in love with the above listed rifle

I have never owned a browning rifle or pistol. Any opinions on a xbolt? If I pull the trigger on this it'll be in 6.5 creedmoor. Thanks in advance.

I got to handle the one in the McMillan stock at a LGS in Tulsa. Pretty nice rifle but pricey. But with the Micky on it I'm sure it drives the price up.

I've had a few standard walnut model X-bolts and a few A-Bolts. They generally shoot well and I like the short bolt throw. For whatever reason they just never fit me well, so I've moved on to others that do. My wife loves her .308 X-Bolt Micro Midas....and she can shoot it really well.

Have had 1st gen A-bolts in 243 & 308.
Like the drop down magazine, smooth bolt action, they both shot under 1 MOA.
Traded the 243 A-bolt for a 243 RAP and like it better, except for the RAP plastic mag.
Looked at & handled an X-bolt but wasn't impressed.

My answer would depend on what you plan to do with it. I do not own any Browning rifles but I have a friend that owns 3 X bolts, and he is selling them off 1 by 1. He has a 6.5 with a 26" barrel that shoots good but he recently bought a Savage and the Savage out shoots the X Bolt. He recently sold his .243 X-bolt and replaced it with a Tikka. I will admit the action of a Browning is far smoother than my Savage or his. Browning makes a very nice gun for me it would come down to function, accuracy, cost, and what can I do to the gun in the future (as far as re barrel, or other mods)

If you have no need of customer service, and you don't shoot it much, you will be fine. I shot my bud's X-Bolt 7mag w/my handholds and shot my best group ever @ 500 yards. Browning's customer service forced me to sell the 2 browning rifles that I had. And I live in Browning's back yard.
Im drinking the Tikka Kool-Aid for now. The TX3 has a very smooth action, shoots half MOA w/ my loads, @ half the $$ of a HC. And I looked hard @ them. No experience w/Tikka C.S. as of yet. The Tikka stock produces mush more unnecessary recoil for a light weight gun.
The modular system for the stock is pretty cool however. I bolted on a muzzle break and added a trigger spring for 1 1/2 lbs. pull.
All of the brownings I shot grouped the Bergers great. Tell us how you do.
