Hi Landrum

I had my current 220 Swift built on a Remington 700 action. It now wears a 28" Krieger with a 1-14" twist. I dont shoot past 500 yards ever so this twist rate is fine for me. This barrel also wears a muzzle break. The action was squared, the trigger was worked on and the barrel work done by George Vais. He also designed and installed the muzzle break. Many of you no doubt have heard of the Vais muzzle break. I have it all in a H-S Precision stock. On top sits a 6-24x Bushnell 4200.

With muzzle break in place, I can see my hits at all distances. It loud, so dont forget your ears.

I have been shooting 220 Swifts since 1975 when I bought my 1st one, a Ruger M77V. I may shoot my 17 calibers, one of my 223's or even my 221 Fireball more these days, but there will always be a 220 in my gun safe, and also right next to my heart as well. Good luck on your build. Let us know how it comes out. I seriously doubt that you will ever be sorry that you did it.
