Ackleyman has hit it on the head!! I would personally would stick with the Rem. action as I would do the work myself to blueprint. But if you wanted to buy an action then I would probably lean towards a Stiller Pred. so it wont break the bank before you get started they run 600-700 for an action. If you choose say Borden as mentioned above you will be looking at 1200-1300 for just the action. Barrel would be a Broughton, Lilja, Bartlein or Krieger you cant go wrong with any of these barrel makers. Stock choice would be a Manners or Mcmillan in that order!
I used to be big into the Swift but have since changed to the 22-250AI and now have built a few of the 20PPC and the 20BR.
