Here in iowa cotton tails are so fast when they get up that even with a shotgun you don't always get em. They don't get up tell you step on the either.
they were taken in Nevada a rancher called my friend and said he had a rabbit problim and would pay use so that fri night we loaded up his beagles and drove down 6 hours and hunted that sat and sun and theres the outcome not to shaby for a two day hunt
Nice pics. We can spotlight here in SD when on private ground with the landowner and using a .22cal rifle. My buddy and his other friends have filled the bottom of a truck bed many times. When you get into'em, you get into'em. There ain't hardly any this side of the state, but out west, they can be darn right thick (both jacks and fuzzy tails)
In NM one year, we found a sheep ranch where they had been poisoning the coyotes and had a heck of a good bunny shoot. I learned to shoot a 12 ga on that shoot. If memory serves me, it was one of those Ithacas that dumps the empty out underneath. I've wanted one ever since.
