Burlap for ghuilly suit

I found a good source for large burlap the other day. If you know of a tree nursery, the burlap used to "ball" the roots works great! The burlap comes in a square and one edge is sewed, making it like a poncho. All you need to do is cut holes for your neck and arms. They come in lots of sizes...the 40" works best. The best part is the price, about $6.00!

I just hope that you guys that are making your own ghilly suits don't smoke. All that dry grass and burlap would go up in a flash that would kill you before you could get it off. There is a reason that the kits you buy are more expensive. It is called being flame retardant. In other words it doesn't catch on fire easily!

Never underestimate the power of stupid people!

Jim thanks for the heads up. I will check to see if tree burlap is flame retardant. You could always soak the stuff in a retardant mixture of some kind. I think a solution of Boric acid and water might work, although I'm not sure what other problems might arise from that too.
I don't even smoke and don't know why anyone on a coyote stand would anyway. I guess if you shoot really "Hot" loads you might have even more to worry about. HeHe!
